On Thursday, December 12, 2013, eQuality Pathways to Potential received the 2013 Betty Walen Outstanding Volunteer award from the Minnesota Lions Eye Bank Thursday. eQuality Associates Kyra, Chelsea, and Lucy with their job coach Jacqueline have collectively provided more than 1,200 hours of service to the eye bank, assisting with administrative projects ranging from assembly and labeling to filing. The award was presented by Jodi Altenhofen, volunteer services coordinator for MN Lions Eye Bank.

The Betty Walen Outstanding Volunteer Award was developed and first presented to Betty Walen who recorded more than 19,000 service hours with the eye bank. A corneal transplant recipient, Betty volunteered in gratitude to the Minnesota Lions Eye Bank and the community that gave her the gift of sight through eye donation.
