Twins Spring Training Camp Day 2- March 28th, 2012

The eQuality Travel Club crew started the day at 7:00am shouting “Hammond Stadium and the MN TWINS versus the Philadelphia Phillies- here we come!!” Just one brief pit-stop on the way… See, last night the travel club crew did an experiment and we came to the conclusion that black permanent marker just doesn’t show up on the dark blue MN TWINS color! So, on the way to the game we made sure to stop at Office Max for silver permanent markers.

Most importantly, after we made it back to our hotel and dinner, we promised each other we would be back next year for TWINS Spring Training- AND we made a list of everything we learned! Let us just say… the eQuality Travel Club knows exactly which seats to obtain at the game next year, where to go and wait, and which expensive cars to be on the look-out for in order to score the best TWINS autographs. Oh, and one last important note we decided on for next year- we are going to stay at a hotel with a hot tub. Hey – eQuality crews never take it easy! We even manage to wear ourselves out on vacation!

We arrived for the game 3 hours early in order to hunt out TWINS players for our much-coveted autographs. Since it was our first time at TWINS spring training, we were a little flustered, but soon we spotted the one and only Hall of Fame MN homegrown, Paul Molitor! As soon as he was done with his camera interview, the eQuality Travel Club crew pounced. Our first TWINS signature!! As he jogged to catch up with the team for lunch, he responded to our shouts of gratitude by saying, “Call me Mollie!”

We found our seats (Section 111, Row 8, Seats 1-5) and knew we had a great view. Of course (as is the habit of eQuality Travel Club Associates) we made fast-friends with all those around us. Everyone was quite impressed with our stories of where we work in our community and how we saved up our money for our trip. In fact, thanks to the BOOMING voices and pleas of our newfound friends, we were able to get the attention of T.C. and take a great close-up picture! As the day wore on, the eQuality Travel Club Crew appeared to be invincible! While others faltered, we survived and had quite a blast! Leave it to us Minnesotans to know how to handle scorching sun, 90-degree, humid weather AND nine innings of great baseball. The day came to a close with multiple TWINS autographs (thanks to the great friends we made!) and all our smiling faces among the several empty sunscreen containers and water bottles.
