ACT-Advocating Change Together – is a grass roots social change organization that marks its 34th year.
ACT is a two time winner of the Minnesota Council Non Profits Mission Award.
ACT is about self-advocacy and change. It is about teaching us to speak up for ourselves and the things we need and want. It teaches us to expect nothing less than the respect and dignity we deserve.
ACT lets us be loud, use our own voice and lets us be heard.
“I have been with ACT for many years and I am currently on the 2012-2013 Board of Directors and I just love it. It helps me learn more about myself and how to speak up for myself.
Together we can, as people with developmental disabilities, have good heads and good hearts and feel we can and not that we can’t.” – Kelly
(Kelly is an associate with eQuality since September 2012)
