DAY 3- March 29th, 2012
After the adventures of yesterday, the eQuality Travel Club Associates treated themselves to some much-needed sleeping in! Soon, we were off to Sanibel Island and basking in the glorious 80-degree sunny weather that has become the norm on our trip here in Fort Myers, FL. We could not contain our “Ooh’s and Aah’s” as we drove over the bridge leading us to Sanibel Island. The blue sky, sparkling ocean, and white sandy beaches were picture-perfect and we couldn’t wait to get our feet wet. We toured the island and pointed out the sights to one another. Everywhere we looked, there were people soaking in the sun, swimming, fishing, boating and loving life. It was quite contagious because the mood of the eQuality Travel Club group was happy and relaxed. We stopped at the beach and had fun playing in the water and making new friends. We even found ourselves addicted to the common south Florida past-time of “shelling”.
Our eyes were trained on the sand and water as we excitedly shouted back and forth to one another about the cool looking shells we were finding. Sooner than we wanted, it was time to head to the airport for our trip back home, but everyone was eager to see their families and share their adventures. We all agreed that next year we would come back and stay long enough to see two Twins games and spend much more time napping in the sun on the beach. Farewell sun, sand and palm trees, we shall be back!
