Kellie Hurwitz joined Equality in May of 2019 as a job coach for HyVee located in Plymouth. She has been working with adults with special abilities for over 22 years in many different settings. Kellie grew up with 2 uncles that suffered traumatic brain injuries when they were toddlers. These brain injuries left her 2 uncles differently abled. Kellie’s mother became an audiologist and taught hearing impaired children. This exposure led Kellie to pursue an education with a background of Occupational Therapy.
Kellie’s favorite part of working with Equality is working with the amazing associates within Equality. Her team at HyVee has an enthusiasm and happiness that is likely to spread and influence others in a positive manner. The hard working, positive attitudes have impacted productivity within the store which is reflected in the community perpetuating this positivity.
Kellie is married with 2 teenage children and a dog. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. If Kellie has a few spare moments in the day, she can be found curled up on the couch with a good book.
