Day 4 – Washington D.C. 6/7/12

Our Washington D.C. trip is indubitably the most walking the eQuality explorers have experienced to date yet. Thus, as one could imagine, the girls were even harder to get up this morning! But, we still had some time before our plane left to take us back to the Twin Cities. So, we hopped the bus to get one final last look at D.C. Earlier in the week, we had read in our travel guide that someone could spend a whole month in D.C. and still not see everything the numerous museums here had to offer… and, boy, were they right! We saw the National Air & Space, American Indian, Natural History and American History Museums- and that was only a handful of them.

We all agreed that the coolest looking of all was the Smithsonian Castle. We even saw the National Archives where the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights are displayed. Last, but certainly not least, we concluded our sight-seeing with Ford’s Theater where Abraham Lincoln was shot. Although the eQuality Travelers had much more to see in D.C., we were quite exhausted and ready to see our Minnesota family and friends. Our advice: Don’t miss your chance to visit our nation’s Capital when the eQuality explorers return in 2013.
