eQuality associates make valuable contributions to their employers every day, in group enclave sites as well as competitive placements. Vocational opportunities range from part to full-time. Individuals who choose to work part time enjoy recreational, educational, community integration, and arts activities in addition to their paid work. eQuality staff provide support to the extent that it is needed. Each Associate is treated as an individual and their day/week/month is scheduled to fit their needs, abilities and desires. Job Coaches and Coordinators help Associates work on key skills that will help them reach their future goals and dreams while stressing their responsibilities as adults working in the community.
Community Integration:
Associates at eQuality’s half-day enclaves have the opportunity to participate in afternoon activities. Community integration and exploration are an important part of the Associate experience at eQuality. Associates who participate in their community gain confidence to initiate and plan future activities with friends and family. They have the opportunity to meet and interact with other adults without disabilities and form friendships outside of their peer group. Every job, program and extracurricular activity takes place in a community setting. eQuality job sites that have an afternoon activity option typically spend at least one of their activity days each week exploring the community through field trips and classes.
eQuality has key relationships with several organizations such as Three River’s Park District (Environmental Education Class), Minnetonka Center for the Arts and MacPhail (music therapy). Associates access many community resources every week during activity time. eQuality focuses on programming based upon Associates’ dreams, outcomes and areas of risk.
